SAPAA’s 7th Annual Convention and Youth Summit will be held in Denver, CO August 2nd-4th! Join Sudanese Americans nationwide as we come together in unity and reflection.

 

This nationwide Sudanese American conference is a family event open to all, bringing together our culture, our people, and our hope for a better tomorrow. Our theme this year is “Celebrating Unity, Building for Tomorrow”.

SAPAA’s Convention and Youth Summit educates, empowers, and engages Sudanese American youth and communities. We encourage students to be civically engaged while having critical conversations about their identity, culture, and overall wellbeing. The SAPAA convention features thought-provoking presentations, educational sessions, youth growth and development, health conversations and activities, power networking opportunities, music, and cultural celebrations.

 

The youth have organized this leadership convention and trainings to encourage our community on upward mobility in personal and professional development and wellbeing, allowing for a  sustainable structure that not only allows individuals to grow, flourish, and enact their own projects but also, fortify a movement that is founded on values of social justice, community health, and equity. Young people have and always will be the drivers of change. We want to help build tools and guidance to create a continuum of leaders who are passionate about making a positive difference in their communities.
